The Transformative Power of the Creative Process

The secret to manifestation is creativity

Manifestation is possible only via creativity. Consider that for a moment. We can make something if we can “see” it. We have the ability to manifest what we “feel.” Imagination comes from creativity. Manifesting comes from the imagination. People can often have fun using their imaginations. I used to spend hours playing outside when I was little. We used to construct forts and engage in snowball wars during the winter. Summertime meant playing hide-and-seek, tag, and a ton of other enjoyable games. These all assisted me in developing a vivid imagination.

However, what occurs when kids spend less time outside. You know, the ones who watch TV or use computers all day. It’s possible that their creativity is constrained. Perhaps you are simply one of those people who say they don’t have a very vivid imagination. With a few simple adjustments and/or exercises, that can be changed rather simply.

Everything is in the wording

It appears that some people find the word “imagination” difficult to use. The phrase “imagine before you…” or a variation on it can seem to catch people off guard when used in guided meditations. Replace the term “imagine” in the piece with “pretend.” Imagine there’s a creek in front of you. For some, this modification may be sufficient to enable them to meditate in a way they have never done before.

Color Books for Adults

How many of us colored in our kid’s books in the past? I would frequently suggest that they create ones for adults as well, and lo and behold, they did. While I would like to claim that I did, I’m very sure that many adult parents also secretly wished for this. It’s funny that they’ve just begun creating adult dot-to-dot books as well. Express your creativity while embracing your inner child.

Some of my personal favorites are the Disney Dreams Collection Thomas Kinkade Studios Coloring Book, the Fairy Tale Color Book of Alice’s Nightmare – Adventures in Wonderland Adult Color Book.

Coloring will not only improve your imaginative skills but also assist you to relax. You’ll become present to the current moment. It’s a great family activity that induces meditation and promotes relaxation.

Dance

Like painting or coloring, dancing can inspire creativity and induce a meditative state. What a fantastic technique to transfer energy. In addition to being beneficial for exercise, deliberate and gentle movement can also foster creativity and clarity. Check out Ludmila Smirnova and her Groove Dance studio program if you need motivation to get started. It’s like having your own little dance party. It’s a bond to get your creative juices flowing, so much laughter and pleasure.

Cooking

Dawn Hunt, one of my favorite kitchen witches, once gave a workshop at an event I was at. She discussed the intentions we have for our food when it’s being prepared. She furthered this by stating that if we are preparing a meal for a loved one, depending on our mood or if we are angry at that person, the taste or texture of the food may be different. This could explain why so many of us have clung to a special recipe handed down from mother to child or through grandmothers. We recall how much we enjoyed the lunch. It really is unique.

Cooking requires ingenuity and inventiveness. How much joy is involved in giving a presentation? A lump in a bowl vs a color pallet. You’ve already seen a difference. Investigate novel plants, spices, and natural foods.
