About Pratyusha Banerjee
Pratyusha Banerjee was a beautiful Indian actress. And she was born on 10 August 1991 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. She grew up in a traditional Bengali family. She was a trained classical dancer and a good singer. Pratyusha did her first stage show ‘Kalidas’ when she was 17 years old.
She acted in the play Ashadh Ka Ek Din. She also did small modeling jobs in Kolkata before getting her role in Balika Vadhu. She had said that she never thought that she would become an actress until she was given the chance to play the role of Badi Anandi after the five-year leap in Balikavadhu. She initially wanted to become a model but her height became an issue.
They gained fame and popularity for their roles as Anandi Jagdish Singh and Anandi Shivraj Shekhar in the drama series Balika Vadhu – Kachhi Umar Ke Pakke Rishtey on Colors TV. When the actress left the show, many viewers were extremely disappointed and there were some fans who signed a petition to bring Pratyusha back on the show. But she said that she needed to take care of her sick mother.
She was also offered a film by Vikram Bhatt, however, the actress promised to stay only on television. She joined in 2011 and followed it up with a small role in the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 – Dancing with the Stars in 2012. In 2013, she participated in the reality show, Bigg Boss 7 but was evicted on the 63rd day.
She made a comeback as Sagarika Chattopadhyay, an NRI who came to India from London in the Hindi series Hum Hain Na opposite Kanwar Dhillon on Sony Entertainment Television. Recently she was roped in to co-host the Hindi crime-based show, Savdhaan India – India Fights Back on Life OK along with Hiten Tejwani and Sushant Singh.
