Anupriya Goenka is an Indian film and television actress and also a famous commercial model. She was born in Lucknow and also moved to Mumbai to pursue her acting career. Even before moving to Mumbai, he studied at the Gyan Bharati School in Delhi and later at the Bhagat Singh College. She was a commerce graduate and was the face behind UPA’s Bharat Nirman campaign in 2013.

Anupriya has one brother and two elder sisters. Initially, she was helping her father in his apparel export business. Acting has always been her passion. And till one day she realized that she could do justice to theater and her corporate career. Director Pradeep Sarkar introduced her in an advertisement for a personal hygiene product. Since then till now there has been no looking back.

Anupriya has done many commercials for Federal Bank (Fedbook), Saavn, Bigg Boss of India, U-Kare (dktindia), Stayfree, Club Mahindra, Colgate and many more. She also made her debut in 2013 with the blockbuster Telugu film, “Portugadu”. The film is a remake of the Kannada film Govindaya Namah, and was also directed by Pawan Wadeyar. In the same year, she did a short film titled Worth the Kiss with Raj Singh Chowdhary. Also in 2014, she bagged another Telugu film titled Paathshala and Hindi comedy drama film, Bobby Jasoos directed by Mahi V Raghav.

Anupriya did an episode titled The Bullies and Bindass Ki Hai Aashiqui in MTV Webbed 2 along with Sumeet Sachdev. And she played the role of Sonam in the television series, “Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya 2” in 2014 alongside Parag Chadha. Recently, she also featured in Season 2 of “Bindas Halla Bol” as Avanti.

This 2015, Anupriya also auditioned for the latest advertisement of Myntra which went viral in the social media world. The ad turned out to be India’s first gay ad, which is also part of the ‘Bold is Beautiful’ series by popular clothing brand, Anouk. The ad shows her talking to her parents and guiding them to meet their soulmate (played by Neha Panda) for the first time.

Anupriya Goenka is an Indian actress who has worked predominantly in Bollywood and South Indian film industry.
She was born in a merchant family in Kanpur itself. Due to his failing business in Kanpur, she had moved to Delhi even after a few years of his birth.
Right after finishing high school, Anupriya worked in a call center and later in the corporate sector. And at the same time she also had the opportunity to participate in a month-long workshop at the National School of Drama (NSD). And it was she who enjoyed the workshop and became interested in theater and acting.
After completing her education, at the age of 18, she started helping her father in her business. The business failed and she had to move to Jaipur along with her family and work in the corporate sector, thus becoming an earner.
Also in 2008, and Anupriya Goenka also came to her maternal grandparents’ house in Mumbai for business purposes. She was mesmerized by the city and decided to work there. She started out working in the business field, but theater caught her interest. And later she bought a house in Thane and moved her family there as well. And at the same time, she also started acting in the theatre. However, she also juggled between acting and business.
She has also served as a host for the home shopping channel ShopCJ for over a year.
She started acting in commercials, and rose to prominence in 2013 when she became the face of the UPA government’s “Bharat Nirman” advertising campaign.
She also rose to fame after appearing as a lesbian in a Myntra ad alongside actress and designer Neha Panda. And this advertisement turned out to be India’s first lesbian advertisement, which is also a part of the ‘Bold is Beautiful’ series of ‘Anouk’ clothing brand.
She was all set to make her acting debut with Rohan Sippy’s 24-episode Anant series “Yakshi”. And the pilot episode of the show was shot, but somehow the show got shelved.
She has acted in several Indian films, Paathshala (2014), Daddy (2017), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), Padmavat (2018), and War (2019). She has acted in various web and TV series such as Sacred Games (2018–19), Criminal Justice (2019), Panchali (2019), and Asur (2020).
She has also featured in advertisements for several popular brands, Coca-Cola, Garnier, Stayfree, Kotak Mahindra, Pepperfry and Dabur.
She is an active philanthropist and is associated with the organization ‘Down to Earth’. In an interview too, she had revealed that one of her brothers has cerebral palsy, so she wanted to work only with such special children. She further said that she wants to work for women.
Apart from acting, she also does very well in painting.
She is also an avid animal lover and has a dog named ‘Sugar’.
